On October 5-19, 2014, Pope Francis welcomed bishops, clergy and lay experts from around the world for the first of two synods to take place on issues relating to “the pastoral challenges of the family in the context of evangelization”.

Religious Life Sunday at Newman

Celebrate Religious Life Sunday at the Newman Centre with us on Sunday, February 8th after both the 11 AM and 7 PM Masses. Various representatives from religous congregations will be present. Hug a sister, Hi5 a brother, shake hands with a priest...bring your questions! 

 

Liturgical Tune-Up

Join us for our Liturgical Tune-Up on Saturday, January 31st at the Newman Centre. 

This is for all Litugical Ministers and for those interested in becoming a lector, Altar Server, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Hospitality Minister or a Choir member. 

The day will start at 9:30 AM with Mass and end at 2:30 PM. A free lunch will be provided. 

Theology of the Family: Living the Gospel of the Family

Our Theology Lecture will take place on Monday, January 19th, 2015 at the Newman Centre.

Fair Trade Products at the Newman Centre

The Newman Centre is pleased to partner with Development and Peace to provide Fair Trade products to our community! On Sunday, November 23rd after the 11 AM Mass, the Coffee and Doughnut Ministry will sell Fair Trade products in the Oak Room. Part of the proceeds will go to the Newman Centre's Roof Maintanence Fund.

Are you a student looking for career guidance in a particular profession or for further studies and would like to meet someone who as the experience?

Are you a working/retired professional who would like to guide a student or two professionally and spiritually with your experience in the workplace?
